Noratus is most famous for its cemetery, the oldest part of which includes over 800 khachkars (stone crosses), carved between the 9th-17th centuries.

How to reach
Noratus is in Gegharkunik marz, near Gavar city. To get there from Yerevan, take the M4 highway to Sevan Lake, then the M10 south towards Gavar. From Yerevan it is about 95 km, or 1.5 hours
